Nigel’s SS18 Lybro collection is a mix of unisex styles based on military issue clothing from the Vietnam War period mixed with funkier 1960s styles.

Military designs are inspired from garments in Nigel’s extensive vintage archive like the USMC Field Jacket, which has been produced using a mix of fabrics washed down for a faded look.  A similar technique has been used for the USMC Combat Pant, which copies the repair patches of the vintage piece and is made using contrasting fabrics.  Nigel’s popular Naval Dungaree features again in a washed herringbone cotton and there’s also a full Coverall made in pigment-dyed poplin and based on those worn by Australian military.

A 60s buzz is created by a range of short and long sleeved shirts and shirt style jackets that have been made in light-weight and specially developed cotton checks, stripes and patterns.  In particular, Frankie’s Blazer is a hybrid shirt/jacket, which has a traditional lapel and three-pocket set up coupled with a shirt style hemline.

Two jersey styles complete the collection – short sleeved crew and a tee – both based on those worn in the field by US military in the Vietnam War.
