VIBERG AUTUMN WINTER 2015
Viberg Boot has been hand crafting some of the world’s highest quality work boots for over 80 years. Founded in 1931 by Ed Viberg, the Canadian company is now in its third generation and is still entirely family owned and operated. This is the fourth year that Nigel Cabourn has collaborated with this long established heritage brand.
VIBERG / NIGEL CABOURN BROAD ARROW CHUKKA
This simple ankle-height boot is based on the original Desert Boot worn by the British Forces in WW2. For this exclusive Nigel Cabourn version, Viberg has stitched a Broad Arrow on to the front of the boot and added a heel pull, which can also be used to tie the leather laces around the top of the boot.
VIBERG BOONDOCKER LACE UP SUEDE BOOT
The Boondocker is Viberg’s interpretation of the standard issue WWII USN Boot, or N-1 Field Shoe. Adapted from their Service Boot pattern and crafted out of an exclusive reproduction of Horween’s original Natural Aniline Chromexcel leather. Components such as the corded rubber sole and painted brown eyelets have been specially sourced for this boot and every detail has been considered and kept as true to the original as possible.
VIBERG DERBY SHOE
The Derby Shoe was originally designed decades ago by the company’s founder Edwin Viberg, but never put into production. After finding his original paper patterns the team at Viberg spent a year sampling and reworking his concept. This Cabourn collaboration version is made from a leather called Black Latigo from the Horween tannery in Chicago and features a Black Vibram 2021 sole.
