This classic Nigel Cabourn Authentic design was first introduced in the 2003 ‘Ascent of Cabourn’ collection. Based on jackets worn by the 1924 Everest expedition team, it was originally called The Sherpa and then The Tenzing after the famous Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. The jacket was renamed The Mallory in honour of George Mallory whose body was finally recovered from the slopes of Everest by the Mallory and Irvine Research Expedition, 75 years after his fatal attempt to reach the roof of the world. All the Mallory jackets in this Classic section have been specially produced as limited edition so are true one-offs.
