《SHEEPSKIN VEST》A lifetime item!

Hello to everyone reading this blog.

This is Muta from Nigel Cabourn's Lucua Osaka store.

It's been six years since I became a salesperson for Nigel Cabourn, and I've purchased many items since then.

There are a few items in particular that I feel will last a lifetime, but one item in particular has an overwhelming presence and will impress any fashion lover: this SHEEPSKIN VEST.

SHEEPSKIN VEST

No. 80491190000

COLOUR : GREEN

SIZE : 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54

FITTING SIZE : 48

It was released for the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, but the current situation has made it difficult to manufacture products in the UK, and even signature items like the Mallory Jacket and Cameraman Jacket have been difficult to produce.

Amidst all this, I still remember how excited I was when the new collection was announced.

This masterpiece is made with luxuriously finest sheepskin, which has a soft, supple texture that feels soft and clings to the hand.

The design is based on a jerkin vest.

This product adopts the most traditional style of the British military.

Even the stitching that appears to be buttonholes is all hand-sewn, and the fine stitching and rounded edges of the cut edges soften the ruggedness of a jerkin vest, creating a gentler look.

These are the fruits of skill achieved by artisans who specialise in sheepskin.

The colour, with its indescribable shades of grey and green, with a hint of charcoal, is uplifting.

It goes without saying that it has excellent heat retention, and when paired with a similarly made in the UK knitwear, it will keep you warm even without a coat or down jacket.

The horn buttons visible on the front make a statement, but it also looks great when worn inside out like this.

HIGH NECK KNIT

No. 80511140010

COLOUR : DARK NAVY / IVORY / GREEN

SIZE : 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54

FITTING SIZE : 46

The HIGH NECK KNIT that I've paired with this inner layer goes extremely well with the SHEEPSKIN VEST, and is recommended for those who are already waiting for the vest.

The neck is just the right height - not as high as a turtleneck, but not as short as a mock neck - and goes particularly well with the shape of a jerkin vest.

I personally tend to choose the ever-popular navy, but this season I'm feeling ivory and green.

Having both colours will probably come in handy.

Vintage jerkin vests also have a good length, so they can be worn over a coat or jacket.

Some people may find them a bit intimidating, but if you balance them with the thickness of the inner layer, they are surprisingly easy to coordinate, and they go well with the OX'ED SILVER COAL MINER JACKET I bought this season. Please give it some thought.

It's precisely because it's a vest that it can be coordinated in a variety of ways, making it a fun item to think about coordinating in a good way and letting you enjoy fashion.
