This quilted jacket features a thin layer of padding underneath the outer fabric and diamond-shaped quilted stitching running throughout.
It is closely linked to Britain's equestrian culture, and is a beloved item that symbolises British style.

At the time, most horse blankets were made from jute, which had poor thermal insulation properties. If they got wet, they took a long time to dry, making the ride even more uncomfortable.
Of course, it was also uncomfortable for the horse, so there was room for functional improvement. This led to the creation of blankets made with quilted fabric, known for its high thermal insulation.
After receiving requests from many horse riding enthusiasts for a matching jacket to go with the quilted horse blanket, a riding jacket reminiscent of the modern-day quilted jacket was born in 1972.
The appeal is that it has a classic look but is extremely light. And yet, it is filled with padding to keep you warm, so if you layer it with a thick sweater, you can stay comfortable even in the middle of winter.

The deck jacket was developed as a cold weather garment to protect against the strong winds and bitterly cold temperatures at sea during winter. It is a jacket that is cold-resistant, windproof, and waterproof, and is worn by marines working on deck.
While their functions and purpose, such as keeping warm, are the same for all deck jackets, the characteristics of each vary from country to country.
Of the types adopted by the US Navy, the "N-1" is the most famous.
This US Navy deck jacket was adopted at the end of the Pacific War and issued to soldiers until around the time of the Korean War.
The inside of the sleeves are ribbed, and the front has a double structure with a zipper and buttons.
