Hello everyone reading this blog. This is Kiriyama from Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
With the coming season upon us, we often hear customers asking, "What should I wear underneath?" When shopping for clothes, don't you find yourself drawn to the most stylish pieces and having trouble finding the perfect undershirt? I'm the type of person who likes to stockpile undershirts (lol).
In this blog, I'd like to introduce some basic cut-and-sew tops that can be worn on their own at the start of autumn and can also be used as an undershirt in the winter!

CREW NECK LONG SLEEVE - COTTON SILK
Item No. 80510820007
Colour. Off White / Blue / Charcoal Grey
Height: 162cm / Wearing Size: 10
Introducing a new model of thermal clothing made from cotton modal silk, a material that has been a staple for the past few years! Cotton modal silk is a must-have for Nigel Cabourn WOMAN in autumn and winter.

The most appealing feature of this item is, without a doubt, its comfort.
It's made from modal, a type of rayon. Modal is a synthetic fibre made from wood and other materials. It's strong and has excellent moisture absorption and release properties, making it a high-quality rayon that's used in underwear, pyjamas, bedding, and more.
It also contains 10% silk, which makes it smooth to the touch. I think another key feature of this cut-and-sew is that it's less likely to generate static electricity.

Basic women's fashion and basic men's fashion are different, aren't they?
I think thermals are a basic item in men's fashion. Even when women want to incorporate thermals, they're often too thick or the design is too masculine.
Even though it's thermal, the design is feminine and it's soft to the touch. This cut-and-sew has been designed with an exquisite balance.

5.6oz LONG SLEEVE
Item No. 80510820002
Colour. White / Ivory
Height: 162cm / Wearing Size: 8
This shirt uses "open-end yarn," a material often used in American-made T-shirts. Open-end yarn is known for its smooth, dry feel against the skin.
The 5.6oz fabric is just the right thickness. It's not too opaque and isn't too thick, so you can wear it as an inner layer or on its own.

The front and back are different lengths, so it looks neat even without tucking it in. I personally think it's quite rare to see a cut-and-sew top with different lengths in the front and back and a round body (a cylindrical design with no side seams). When it comes to something that comes into direct contact with the skin, it should be comfortable and easy to wear.
The stitching uses a technique known as "tenchihiki," which can be seen on vintage T-shirts. This cut-and-sew top is characterised by Nigel Cabourn's attention to detail.

It's still a little hot, but autumn is just around the corner! Why not start by stocking up on some tops that you'll definitely wear?
