British Army Pants - Pigment Dye
Item No. 80520050033
Colour: Charcoal / Green
Size: 30 / 32 / 34 / 36 / 38

This model is a signature model of the brand, based on military pants used by the British Army. While this collection has previously been available in classic denim and satin fabrics, this season it features a 50% cotton, 50% nylon blend fabric that has been pigment-dyed.

To be honest, I prefer "100% cotton military pants." I've always been drawn to the natural feel of military pants, like the M-51, and the way they become more comfortable the more you wear them, so I'd somehow convinced myself that "military pants should definitely be made of cotton."

However, these military pants were an exception. Although it contains 50% nylon, it has a texture that doesn't give that impression at all. And when you try them on, they're incredibly light.

I was genuinely impressed by how much of a difference the inclusion of nylon made.

This explains why nylon was used in military products from the 1960s onward. It's lightweight, dries quickly, and is durable. It definitely has an appeal that 100% cotton doesn't have.

I realized that my preconceived notion that "military pants are made of cotton" was limiting my fashion choices.

Furthermore, this product uses a cotton-nylon fabric that has been treated with "pigment dyeing."  Pigment dyeing is a dyeing method in which the dye adheres to the surface of the fibres rather than penetrating them with dye. To put it simply, it's like applying it to your skin, similar to makeup.

And here again, nylon has its advantages. Nylon is less likely to dye than natural fibres such as cotton and linen.  Therefore, compared to pigment-dyed 100% cotton, the colour doesn't fully develop, resulting in a more faded, vintage look. This approach is truly impressive.

It comes in two colours: Green and Charcoal Grey.

Personally, I'd like you to pay attention to the "Charcoal Grey" colour. In military wear, gray is a historically significant British military colour, having been used in items such as the British Royal Air Force's cold-weather parkas and pilot jackets.

This product also possesses an aura reminiscent of those legendary vintage pieces. Just as gray slacks are a staple in men's suits, gray pants are a must-have for casual wear as well, so I highly recommend you try them out.

Height: 187cm / Wearing Size: 38

The British Army Pants have a great silhouette, as expected.

The cargo pockets are positioned on the front to maintain the silhouette, resulting in a design suitable for adult military-style pants. Because the waist is made to be a bit tight, you might want to consider going up one size when choosing your size.

I styled it with the SOUVENIR JACKET - COTTON NYLON WEATHER, which is also a new arrival, and I highly recommend this combination.

Whether you're a fan of military pants or a complete beginner, these are easy to wear for anyone, so please check them out!

We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
