To all of you reading this blog, hello. This is Kamata from FLAGSHIP STORE.
It's already late April. The daytime temperatures are now warm enough that you only need a light jacket. At this rate, summer will be here before we know it.
The selection of short-sleeved items in stores is gradually increasing.
Today, we'll be introducing some of those short-sleeved items. This item had a great presence even in the catalog.
A refreshing blue colour perfect for summer.
This exquisite piece features a classic British tartan check pattern that blends beautifully with the smooth rayon material. Rayon is now an indispensable element when discussing Nigel Cabourn's spring/summer collection.
This season's lineup is excellent, but personally, I recommend this product the most.
The first thing that catches the eye is probably this tartan check pattern.
Actually, this pattern has a very long history. It originated in the Scottish Highlands.
Originally, they served a similar purpose to family crests, allowing for the identification of a clan. Later, a conflict arose over the British throne, and the wearing of tartan was once banned.
However, in the 19th century, Queen Victoria's fondness for tartan solidified its image as a symbol of tradition and luxury.
After the 1980s, it became more widespread and was used in a wide range of contexts, from punk culture and street style to high-end brands, and continues to be used today.
This product features a refreshing colour scheme, yet incorporates a vintage-like sophistication and deep blue.
The pattern is full of identity, interpreted in Nigel Cabourn's unique style. Also, the deliberately altered placement of the pocket pattern is a nice touch. It evokes the feel of vintage resort shirts and work shirts, showing attention to detail.
The rayon used in this product is slightly "thick." This is different from the ALOHA SHIRT we've been using until now.
The fabric develops a nice three-dimensional texture, providing a comfortable feel when worn, and its increased durability compared to conventional rayon gives a sense of satisfaction.
Wearing Size: 48 / Height: 175cm
I've put together two versions: a full-length version and a shorts version. Layering shorts with long sleeves is something you can only really do this time of year, so I highly recommend it. I hope this is helpful.
An open collar shirt made from the same fabric as the French chore jacket hemp check will be arriving soon. It offers a different feel from rayon. It provides the quick-drying and breathable properties unique to hemp. If you prefer a natural texture, this is also recommended.
With a tough, thick texture that defies the conventional image of rayon, this is Nigel Cabourn's unique interpretation of the iconic British tartan check.
Please consider adding this to your summer wardrobe.
