High Summer Collection
This collection is shrouded in mystery and has never been featured in a catalogue; even the sales staff are not aware of its full details until just before it goes on sale.
This year, the number of products available will be even larger than last year, and the number of models will increase significantly, so please wait a little while until the release. In this blog, I will be focusing on the shirts that have been delivered so far, and introducing two of my favourite items.

NEW MEDICAL SHIRT - COTTON LINEN

Colour : Indigo / Ivory

This time, we will focus on the Ivory color. Normal medical shirts have eyelets to ensure breathability, but because the fabric is doubled over and thick, you need to be a little patient when wearing this in midsummer.
However, this time we have pursued comfort by using a blend of 75% cotton and 25% linen to make it possible to wear it in midsummer. Although it contains linen, it has a high proportion of cotton, making it a fabric that is easy to maintain and handle.
Visually it doesn't look much different from previous medical shirts, but once you try it on you will appreciate the changes.

The colours of the sewing thread used for the eyelets and bar fastenings is a sophisticated detail.
The strainproof yoke and the four eyelets in the centre are details unique to work shirts. No matter how you look at it, this looks cool!
The back of the medical shirt is the best and that's what usually attracts people to it.
The above also applies to the Indigo colour.
Now I'd like to talk about why I like the ivory colour.
I think the best thing about it is the richness and depth that comes from the inclusion of linen yarn.
To explain in more detail, due to the nature of linen, it has no stretch and shrinks a little, which is why the fabric swells and sinks during the weaving process.
The Ivory colour has a more pronounced and easily noticeable unevenness. When I was photographing the styling, I felt that it naturally had a sophisticated feel to it.

The outside temperature on the day of the photo shoot reached nearly 30°C during the day, but I was able to stay comfortable without sweating.
When wearing it with the buttons open, I like to keep my shoulders slightly relaxed and leave some space around my neck, which gives it a relaxed and sophisticated look.
This time I mainly introduced Ivory, but Indigo has its own good points (such as the way it will change over time), so neither is superior to the other. I think it's best to decide based on your own preference and style.

US NAVY SHIRT - WABASH DUNGAREE

This product is based on a US NAVY SHIRT.
We incorporated work shirt details throughout the design to create a shirt never before seen, one that may become a vintage piece in the future.

What is WABASH?
This fabric has been used for American workwear since the early 20th century, especially for railroad workers.
However, since the 1970s, WABASH fabric gradually disappeared because it is not suitable for mass production, which is unique to American industry.
This is because, unlike hickory, which creates its pattern through a woven design, Wabash is made from fabric that has already been dyed and then the colour is extracted to create the pattern, making it extremely time-consuming.
These cuffs, unique to workwear, are called storm cuffs.
Storm cuffs are short cuffs that are made without a placket, as shown in the photo, as a result of considering production efficiency.
In addition to improving production efficiency, the sleeves are easier to roll up neatly and they also prevent wind and dust from entering compared to the standard twill design.

We have styled it with the RAILMAN DENIM, which was made based on the denim worn by railroad men from different countries and regions.
Pale blue items are my favourite, so I have a lot of them, but they also go well with other colours, so I naturally reach for them when I'm stuck on a style.
It's such an easy-to-wear colour that there's no colour it doesn't go with.
This product looks just as good as the vintage version. You can wear it until it's worn out, or you can enjoy while it's in good condition. Everyone has their own way of enjoying it.
