- HALFTEX -

The fabric used is HALFTEX, a popular fabric developed exclusively by Nigel Cabourn.
Simply put, HALFTEX is a 100% nylon fabric with a texture that is extremely close to cotton.
Starting this season, we have switched from our previous HALFTEX processing factory to a new one.
Because it requires special processing, specialised processing machinery is necessary. However, due to the labour-intensive nature of the process, including maintenance, the machinery itself was discontinued and we searched for a new factory.
However, because it is a specialised process, there are very few processing factories that can accept it, and finding one was a challenge. After about a year of prototyping and testing multiple quality samples at that factory, we finally achieved the texture of this fabric.
It's not easy to put into words, but nylon yarn, which is originally a long fibre, is cut and processed into short fibres, which are then hollowed out.
This processing recreates a texture that is extremely close to cotton. The high quality of the fabric is the result of trial and error, and even upon close inspection, it is difficult to tell that it is 100% nylon.
Because it is made of nylon, it is half the weight of a similar product made of cotton. The heavy appearance and light feel when worn are two sides of the same coin, and this coexistence would not be possible without this fabric.

The lining, which is comparable to the outer fabric, is made from flannel shirting fabric produced in Nishiwaki.
Nishiwaki has been using the "yarn-dyed" technique, in which the yarn is dyed before weaving, for over 200 years, making it one of Japan's leading yarn-dyed textile production areas, accounting for over 70% of the country's market share. It's incredibly prestigious to be able to produce original fabric in such a region and use it for the lining.
With abundant water sources, the area is ideal for growing high-quality cotton, which is characterised by its rich colours and soft texture.

This design is a blend of American and British styles, a specialty of Nigel Cabourn.
Side-access pockets on both sides are positioned along the top of the placket, and there is a gas flap inside the placket.
The design follows on from the "P-44" which was used as workwear by the US Marine Corps.
This is a period-defining item that commands quite a high price even in the vintage market.

This jacket is adapted from the M-43 HBT jacket used by the US Army.
The 13-star buttons are a popular design and are truly impressive. True to its name, which comes from the desire to create attractive workwear for recruiting, it remains immensely popular with fashionistas today.
The gas flap is also famous for being used on this item.

The collar uses 8W CORDUROY from the popular 8W CORDUROY SERIES this season.
It features details reminiscent of British hunting jackets. These days, fewer and fewer places are using thick corduroy, so I personally love the rustic feel of this jacket.

This stitching is on the flap located behind the placket.
At first glance, some might think it's strange, but it's by no means poor stitching. It's an interesting gimmick that's typical of Nigel Cabourn.
At the time, when similar uniforms were worn in the military, some had stitching to distinguish them from others, and this has been incorporated into the design.
On this product, the stitching is oriented differently for the 46/48 and 50/52 sizes, which is impressive. It's a completely self-indulgent detail that can't be seen from the outside, but we're sure there are many people who love this kind of detail.

This item is full of the joy of combining two completely different cultures and philosophies that take rationality to the extreme: British country gentleman culture, represented by hunting, and American uniform culture, through the filter of Nigel Cabourn, with the keyword "field.''

Height: 175cm / Wearing Size: 48
This time, we're going with a classic styling look.
It looks great paired casually with a knit or sweatshirt, but I personally recommend pairing it with a tie.
Please come and try out the VINCENT HALFTEX MODIFY, a style that is typical of Nigel Cabourn, in store.
We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
