〈One-of-a-kind fabric〉BLACK CHAMBRAY series

Hello everyone who reads this blog. This is Satodate from the Sendai store.

Today I'd like to introduce an item that I've personally been looking forward to receiving.

As you can see , the fabric is what's known as salt and pepper. At first glance, it looks like a fabric for autumn and winter, but this is Nigel Cabourn, who creates his own original fabrics. It's something a little different.

The fabric of this product is a black chambray woven with 90% hemp and 10% cotton.

Contrary to what you might imagine from just looking at the image, this fabric has a lightness characteristic of chambray, yet it also feels supple and resilient. When you think
of chambray, you tend to imagine thin fabrics like those found in typical chambray shirts, but this fabric is neither extremely thin nor extremely thick, and has a moderate thickness, which is a key point.

Please come to the store and see the actual product for yourself.

The fact that it doesn't look like a spring/summer fabric means that it can be worn without feeling out of place even in cooler weather, which is a key point as it allows for a longer season of wear.

Furthermore, while Nigel Cabourn has released various items inspired by French work jackets in the past, this product is modelled after the short-length French work jackets that are said to have been worn by mechanics. The shorter length gives it a fresh impression, and it goes perfectly with wide-legged pants.

This time, I kept it simple and coordinated it as a set with pants made from the same fabric, the WIDE FRENCH WORK PANT - CHAMBRAY.

These pants, with their powerful wide silhouette and black chambray fabric, exude a rugged, masculine vibe. While it's a familiar workwear style from Nigel Cabourn, it also has a fresh feel, making it highly recommended.

They make a strong statement not only when worn as a set, but also on their own, so please refer to other stores' blogs and styling examples!

Please try them on at your nearest store.
