Hello blog readers. This is Kiriyama from Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
Nigel Cabourn is a vintage collector, and among his vintage collection are Japanese work clothes.
Fabrics and clothing were not as readily available as they are today, so the clothes were repaired and used with care. I'm sure Nigel felt that warmth.
The women's Japanese Farmer series was inspired by these work clothes.

The fabric used is embroidered with the traditional Japanese technique of "sashiko."
Sashiko is a technique that was developed in the mid-Edo period to prolong the life of precious cotton clothing.
To protect themselves from the cold, they would layer several layers of fabric and then sew stitches over them to create a quilted look.
Ingenuity to enrich daily life - I think this is the basis of real clothes.

Both the blouson and coat have denim collars. The blouson also has denim elbow pads, and the coat has denim side gussets. The design has a patchwork element, as if it has been worn and repaired carefully over the years.

The coat has a chest pocket on the front. This detail was also featured in some items for the AW20 collection, and I think it's one of Nigel 's favourite details.
The cotton tape on the front is a detail of the Royal Navy's fall weather survival jacket. It also includes military elements unique to Nigel Cabourn WOMAN.

I paired my new Wide Straight 5-Pocket Denim with a vintage apron that I own, creating a work-like outfit.
The combination of indigo blue and white is a basic style that you will never get tired of!

The finest items are finally arriving, and our autumn/winter collection has officially launched!
Even though it's so hot, I still feel excited about autumn and winter (lol). There are so many items available in autumn and winter, I think it's the season to enjoy fashion the most!
I can't wait for it to get cooler.
