DECK PANT - VINTAGE WASH

This is a washed denim, which is rare for Nigel Cabourn.
This product is based on the denim trousers used by the US Navy in the 1940s. In the past we have offered a one-wash dark blue version, but this time we have used cotton linen denim and added an aging process.
This is a colour that gives a visually cool impression in sweltering hot weather.
These are the exact denim pants I've been looking for.

As the title suggests, the fabric used is "cotton linen denim" so that it can be worn during the summer. They are made from a 10oz blend of 62% cotton and 38% linen. It has the rugged look of denim, but with the cool feel of linen.
What stands out is the aging process, which Nigel Cabourn has not often used. The entire pair is faded slightly, and the thighs and knees are given the appearance of having been worn for many years.
What's particularly noteworthy is that it hasn't been aged too much. The fading appears mainly on the inside of the thighs, known as whiskers, which varies depending on the wearer's build and wearing habits. By deliberately not fading this area too much, we have minimised the artificial look of the processing.

The front patch pockets, which are unique to deck pants, are square.
The vintage garments from the 1940s on which this piece is based tend to have rounded pockets. Seeing square pockets is quite rare.

The inclusion of a cinch back, which is not often seen in military wear, including the U.S. Navy, and the mix of workwear elements give the piece a playful feel.
Although a cinch back detail is now considered decorative, try adjusting it when wearing it. By tucking in the excess, it will fit better and give a slightly neater look.
This time I wore them with a belt, but as you can see in the picture, there are suspenders set on the inside, so please try it tucked in. There is also a coin pocket on the right pocket, and workwear elements are scattered throughout.

The sides are seamless.
Nigel Cabourn has a classic denim pant called RAILMAN DENIM, which is usually sewn on the sides. There is no selvedge that can be seen when rolled up, and there are no marks on the sides due to fading, giving it an extremely simple and clean look.
Also, the seams do not touch your skin when you wear them, making them very comfortable.

I kept it simple for this look, rolling up my jean hems for summery vibe, wearing sandals on my bare feet, and a 7.8oz HENLEY T-SHIRT on top.
