As we enter the latter half of February, the new SS26 collections are gradually arriving in stores. Among them, we have received an item that immediately makes its presence known, so we would like to introduce it to you.
The design is a Nigel-esque adaptation of the A-1 jacket, the original flight jacket adopted by the U.S. Army Air Corps as a summer flight jacket.
This product is still fresh in our memory as it was first released last year in the AW25 collection in brown core horsehide leather, and this time it uses horse nubuck leather.
This nubuck leather has a slightly napped surface, giving it a supple, matte texture, depth of colour, and a beautiful sheen that develops with use. The feel when you put it on is fantastic; it's not stiff or rigid, but conforms to your body quickly, and the comfort is absolutely perfect.
While the original A-1 jacket featured buttons all over the front, this product incorporates a hook closure at the neck, adding a distinctive Nigel Cabourn touch. It also has a boxy silhouette and a short length, making it easy to layer and very practical.
It's perfect for wearing right now, so I recommend it. Nubuck leather ages beautifully, developing a truly unique character over time.

I've paired it with Nigel Cabourn's classic BASIC CHINO PANT for the bottoms. Although some sizes were out of stock, this season's stock has arrived just as the SS26 collection is launching. Those who have been waiting for stock should definitely check them out.
The sand beige colour in the photo is my personal item; I own a total of four pairs in different colours, but they're a great item that I can recommend year-round because they're comfortable to wear no matter how many times you wear them.
I chose a simple thermal shirt as the inner layer, matching the colour of the nubuck leather. While I personally tend to prefer simple styles with leather jackets, the A-1 jacket possesses an air of sophistication, making it a versatile item that can be the centrepiece of a more formal outfit, such as one with a tie and trousers, allowing for a wide range of coordinated looks.
While it is on the pricier side, this is a truly appealing item that will satisfy those who purchase it as a lifelong investment, so please come and try it on.
