A shirt with the familiar name within Nigel Cabourn. We previously released a women's size, but it has been redesigned and is now back.
First, we changed the fabric thickness to one more suitable for spring and summer. The details remain unchanged from the officer's shirt that forms the basis of the design, but with improvements to enhance comfort.
By using thinner threads, the fabric doesn't feel bulky when you put an extra layer underneath or wear something over it, making layering easier. It's also become more flexible, making it even more comfortable to wear.

The sizing is rather on the compact side. I'm 159cm tall and size 6 is my perfect fit, but any size should be fine. Size 10 has long sleeves, but you can choose based on your preference and wardrobe.

I tried on the new pink and green colours with Shuen! With five colours to choose from, it's hard to decide... But since it's a classic Oxford shirt, it's a shirt you can't go wrong with, no matter which colour you have!
Next, let's look at this eye-catching item.
It's based on shirts worn by ordinary people in Europe in the 1900s. Although it's called "Grandpa's," it's not a shirt for grandfathers (lol). It's not clear when it started being called that, but it seems it was also called a "farmer's shirt" because it was worn by ordinary people.
The design features a longer back. The original was long enough to drape over the hips when sitting. This version, however, has been designed with women in mind, with the length adjusted so it's not too long. I'm not sure if it's a Grandpa dress, but I have an original one with a similar shape, and the back is longer, reaching above the knee. I like that because it hides my body shape.
The pattern comes in one colour. It's a crazy pattern of four different checks. Made with a moderately thin twill fabric, it has a soft finish.
Although it's made to be soft, the slubby texture and slightly dry touch give it a nice feel. The pattern has a slightly faded colour scheme, as if it's been worn for many years. The colours are refreshing and pop, perfect for spring, and make you want to wear it.

The silhouette has a slightly loose fit. It's the same design as the men's version, but the sizing has been adjusted to be more comfortable for women, so it doesn't feel excessively loose.
I think it would look cute with a straight-cut skirt as well. Wearing a sweatshirt over it and letting the check pattern peek out from the hem looks great too. The colours aren't too strong, so it makes layering even more fun!
