Thank you for always reading my blog. This is Maruyama from Nigel Cabourn.
Now that the cold weather has really set in, I'd like to introduce a piece of clothing that I would especially like to share with fans of military style.

The base of this product is a combination of the increasingly familiar MA-1 JACKET and the CLIP JACKET used by the U.S. NAVY.
The early CLIP JACKET had a front zipper, but due to difficulties in opening and closing it when working on deck and problems caused by salt damage, the design was later changed to this clip system.
However, even the clip would rust, so the jacket was changed back to a zipper.
By adding a placket to the exposed zipper, it was successfully protected from rust, and this led to the transformation into the N-1 DECK JACKET that is commonly seen today.

In addition to being in use for a very short period of time, this model was also adopted during a period of high wear and tear (World War II), meaning few pieces remain, and its value as a vintage piece is sure to soar.
While the original was a somewhat snug fit and quite heavy, this version is surprisingly light, allowing you to wear a thick inner layer underneath.
This was made possible by adding a variety of innovative features, such as the three-dimensional armholes, pleats on the back, and cotton-nylon fabric.
These details in particular enhance the garment's appeal when viewed from behind.
Even if you're not a fan of military style, there are likely many people who will be drawn to the look.

The egg-shaped pockets and hooks on the front incorporate the design of a CLIP JACKET, while the back and arms feature an MA-1 design, making it truly one of a kind.

Height: 168cm / Wearing Size: 48
I styled this piece with the WORK BENCH DUNGAREE, which shares some of the same history as this piece.
The navy is appealing, but the green is also versatile and stable.
It would also go well with a FISHERMAN SWEATER or the 20.5 oz series as an inner layer.
The length is slightly short, but as mentioned above, the width and armholes are wide, which is a plus.
This might be a bit niche, but it's fun to try matching items with different backgrounds and eras.
I think the reason this style is possible is because each piece is carefully crafted down to the smallest detail.

It's the fun season when you can wear everything from innerwear to outerwear.
We would like all military enthusiasts to try out this product.
You will surely appreciate its benefits.
We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
