The theme of LYBRO for AW25 is "Post War Workwear", continuing from SS25.
After World War II, Britain was left vulnerable after the United States cut off military and food aid. The post-war damage extended to other areas of the economy, including agriculture and manufacturing.
The "make do" approach continued for many years after 1945. Workwear manufacturers such as LYBRO used surplus military fabric to produce durable clothing for both the workplace and home.
The "Post War Workwear" theme embodies this enthusiasm and resilience.
