《THE BRITISH STYLE》B.OFFICERS SH TYPE2 OX B.ARMY PANT LOOSE DENIM

To everyone reading this blog, hello. This is Yamada from the LUCUA Osaka store.

In the years since the brand was launched, there are several items that have remained true representative pieces and can be considered timeless classics.

Among them, there is one item that is inseparable from us as a brand.

The "BRITISH OFFICERS SHIRT".

We would like to introduce some of the new items released this season.

BRITISH OFFICERS SHIRT - TYPE2 OX

Item No. 80500010005
Colour : White / Blue Grey / Ivory
Size : 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54

※ Wearing size: 50

The original version has two darts at the back, giving it a silhouette that follows the straight lines of the body with a slim fit. I think most of you will already be familiar with this.

For this version, the robust fabric remains the same, but the silhouette when worn has been significantly changed.

OXFORD cloth is a fabric made by weaving two or more warp yarn and weft yarns, creating a plain weave.

The durability of the fabric itself is ensured by weaving strong threads at a high density.

It is a stunning fabric that will stand up to heavy washing and wear.

You can see why it has been a favourite for so many years.

The fabric changes significantly over time, getting softer and more comfortable, and what's most striking about it is how it stays in place so remarkably.

One of the changes for this version is that it has been changed from a hidden button-down to a visible button-down.

Compared to conventional designs, the collar is more visible, giving it a more casual look and differentiating it from previous designs.

In the 1940s, shirts were considered underwear and so people rarely went out wearing just a shirt alone. Taking this historical background into consideration, the buttons on our regular OFFICERS SHIRT are designed to be hidden.

The collar is wide open and the collar points are slightly smaller, giving a clean look around the face.

It is designed to be worn on its own, and even when worn without a tie or with the top button undone, so it can be worn casually without compromising the original neatness of the shirt.

It now has a chest pocket, making it more functional.

There is a big difference between having a pocket and not.

There are gathers at the yoke and armholes, giving it a modern, relaxed feel, and the silhouette widens when worn, allowing for a wide range of styles to go with it.

It goes especially well with similarly wide pants.

For the bottoms, I have paired the shirt with a pair of trousers I wear very regularly.

BRITISH ARMY PANT - LOOSE DENIM

Item No. 80500050030
Colour : Indigo / Green
Size : 30 / 32 / 34 / 36 / 38

※ Wearing size: 34

These denim pants are also a masterpiece by Nigel Cabourn.

I'm sure there are many people who wear these regularly.

They are so good.

It's been over six months since I started wearing these pants, and the more I wear them the more I love them.

They have become an indispensable item for me.

I wear them almost every day, like a uniform, in a good way.

The fabric itself has been sulfur dyed, giving it a vintage-like green colour that really catches the eye.

Of course over time the colour will fade. This green colour will fade a little slower than the indigo pair however.

Personally, I'm a big fan of green over indigo.

The denim fabric used is made with yarn count yarn, so it develops a brushed texture with age.

The brushed texture is indescribable, it is just like vintage denim.

The denim used comes from Okayama, a famous denim production area of Japan.

It has been quite some time since I first fell in love with these pants, and I continue to grow quite attached to them. This companion has become as comfortable as my own skin, and I have no doubt it will become a valuable addition to your wardrobe.

By the way, the fabric is washed once before being made into a product, so there is almost no shrinkage.

There are some nice faded wrinkles behind my knees already.

This pair are my own, and I've only washed them once so far.

I can't wait to see how much colour will come off in the next wash.

It's the same feeling as raising a child, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels happy about the idea of growing old together.

This time we introduced two of the brand's most iconic pieces.

Because Nigel Cabourn uses natural materials, these kinds of items cannot be mass-produced.

Both items are highly sought after and stock is running low.

If you are even slightly concerned, check out our stores.

If you visit our Osaka store, I will be happy to make some suggestions for you.
