Spring & Summer 2026 Collection Theme [1960s FISHERMAN AND HIPPIE BEACH LIFESTYLE]
The seaside area of Cornwall in England is the setting for this collection. In the 1960s, hippies gathered in port towns, and these towns were temporarily enveloped in vibrant colours. Even after they left, the colours of the ship's hull—the border lines, the yellow of the buoys, the orange of the fishing nets, and the deep blue—will remain in the port town.
In this collection, Nigel Cabourn combines the colours and memories rooted in the daily life of such port towns, expressing them in his signature colour palette.
This product features a crazy pattern applied to the details of a grandpa shirt. This will be the first time in several years that items with crazy patterns have been released. The crazy check pattern, which strongly reflects the collection's theme, evokes the cheerful atmosphere and trends of the 1960s.

A grandpa shirt is a type of shirt that was worn as everyday wear or workwear in 19th-century France. Back then, front-opening shirts weren't common, and pullover styles like this product were the mainstream. Why is that...? Because it has a linear and simple design, and the number of parts such as buttons is kept to a minimum, it is made for the average person.
The grandpa shirt, widely used as both underwear and workwear, was designed with a longer length to also serve as a substitute for pants. This inevitably leads to rapid wear and tear on the fabric, and holes may appear. I believe that simple construction meant that clothes could be repaired at home, which was an important survival skill in an era when clothing was expensive. It's actually a very logically designed system.

The cool-toned check pattern, typical of French grandpa style, gives it a really nice look. At first glance, it may look flashy, but it goes well with basic colours and pairs perfectly with the NEW BASIC CHINO PANT. Of course, the new WHITE colour is also great!  I think it can also be used as an accent colour in a monochrome outfit.

While French grandpa shirts often feature small check or stripe patterns, this product uses a large check pattern.  By doing so, the design, while based on European motifs, has a colour scheme reminiscent of vintage flannel checks. It also goes well with denim pants.

Wearing Size: 48 / Height: 173cm
This product features a relaxed fit. While the time to use this product may still be a little while away, it's especially recommended for the spring breezy season. A shirt that moves and changes with your actions, gestures, and the wind. I really like shirts like this. I've noticed I always end up buying long-length items, but there's something about crazy patterns that I find very appealing...
We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
