ALOHA SHIRT - Farmer
Item No. 80500011201
Colour : Khaki
Size : 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54

This time, in addition to the popular "Hyakutora" ALOHA SHIRT, the "Mugi" color will be released for the first time.

This is a pattern that I am personally very interested in, so I would like to introduce it to you.

It's definitely worth paying attention to this pattern.

MAIN LINE chief designer Zuki commissioned a print design from a trusted designer. The first thing that catches your eye is the wheat pattern that represents farmers that is used all over the piece, but there is actually a detailed hidden design within it.

First, we see the word "Poperinge" written on this wooden sign.

It was an unfamiliar word, so I looked it up and found out it was a town in Belgium.
Hop cultivation is very active in this area, with hop sculptures in town and hop festivals being held.

As you may have already noticed, we have hidden references to the ingredients of beer, malt and hops, which everyone loves. The wooden sign-like design is also a reference to the area, as there was a time when traffic signs were made of wood.

Good beer requires good water, so it makes sense that there are windmills to pump that water.

The next is this.

It seems a bit uncertain whether you can even pronounce "Champs deble", but it's apparently pronounced "Champs de Ble". The correct name is Champs de Ble, which means "ears of wheat, wheat field," combining the French words Champs, meaning field, and Ble, meaning wheat.

The town of Poperinge mentioned above is only a 10-minute drive from the French border, and some parts of the region cross over into French territory, so French is spoken there.

I also like the fact that the wheat field pattern, which is symbolic of this product, is included in the detailed background while the writing is in French.

.

Lastly, this part of the design is my personal favorite.

A drunk farmer is sleeping on his harvest wheelbarrow while holding a bottle of beer. Farmers at the time drank beer to stay hydrated between farm chores.

As a result, there were likely many times where people drank too much and become too drunk to work. This design conveys the good, rough feel of the time that is not often seen today.

.

The fabric is 100% rayon.

The colours come out beautifully so it goes particularly well with all-over patterns like this one, rather than solid colours.

At first glance, this product may appear to have a subdued colour scheme, but the lustre and colour development unique to rayon give it a sharp finish.

Height: 175cm / Wearing size: 52

This is how I'm wearing it right now.

It seems best to wear it in a casual way without being too formal. This summer, be sure to try out this cheerful shirt, which will let you imagine the fun of wearing it and drinking beer.

We look forward to your visit and inquiries.

.

.

I recently had a long weekend and went to Kyoto, a place I visit frequently.

I almost always stop by the standing bar "Ikura Mokuzai". This is a rare establishment that operates both as a lumber store during the day and a standing bar at night.

Please take a visit if you are in the area.
