Hello everyone! Good evening!
This is Orita from the Nakameguro store.
What are your plans for the New Year??
Family gatherings, shrine visits, drinking parties...there are probably many things to consider,
but why not try wearing some new items to kick off the new year?
I'd like to introduce some items made from a slightly unusual fabric.
This post is a bit longer than usual, so please bear with me.

HARRY HALFTEX MODIFY
Item No.80510800102
Colour:Dark Brown / Dark Green
Size:6 / 8
This product is made using an original fabric called "HALFTEX."

Among Nigel's vintage possessions was a wartime trench coat.
With use, it had developed a dry texture with all the moisture removed, and the well-worn smooth feel that is unique to cotton.
However, it was quite heavy.
Driven by his passion to make this coat lighter, he thought that cool military wear could be created using a fabric that was more suited to modern times, and so "HALFTEX" was born.

The material is 100% nylon. At first glance, and even to the touch, it's a fabric that looks exactly like cotton.
Nylon is a long, filamentous material. It is cut into short fibres, which creates a fibre that pills and reduces the sheen characteristic of nylon. These finely chopped nylon short fibres are then twisted while being hollow. This "hollow state" is the key to making the fabric light. By creating a hollow space inside the already lightweight nylon thread, it becomes even lighter.
This results in a fabric that is half the weight of cotton.

An item that retains the vintage feel while also being suited to the modern era. This is the fabric called "HALFTEX."

Wearing Size:6(Height: 159cm)
This product is the perfect item for this fabric. Military long coats, which are often too heavy for women to wear, can be worn without any worries if they are made of HALFTEX.
The design is based on the flight jacket of a Japanese British pilot. Apparently, he flew the plane wearing a long coat at the time. The plane he was flying was a biplane, and when I looked it up, the thought that ran through my head was, "A pig that doesn't fly is just a pig." If you're interested, try searching for "biplane" (lol).

The corduroy used on the collar and cuffs gives it a softer impression. The parts that touch the skin have a long pile, so it doesn't feel cold, which is great.
The lining is a muted check pattern that extends to the hem.
HALFTEX is actually a highly water-repellent and windproof fabric, so the lining provides even more protection from the cold winter wind.

In Taiwan and other places, people buy new clothes for the New Year and pray for a good year.
Even if you're not praying, it's nice to welcome the new year wearing new clothes.
Merry Christmas☆
