Thank you for always reading my blog.
This is Endo from Nigel Cabourn.
It's been a really long time since I last posted on my blog. It's not like I've been slacking, so please forgive me.
Well, it's finally December, and it's about time to start craving knitwear. We've just arrived at the perfect time: some wonderful knitwear from the UK.

KEY CREW KNIT
Item No. 80511140000
Colour : Navy
Size : 44 / 46 / 48 / 50 / 52 / 54 / 56
This UK-made crew neck knit features a Union Jack-like pattern. Whilst it has a striking look, the colours are not too flashy—navy, red, and white—so it's easy to wear for anyone.
.
.

Not only does it have a bold pattern, but the fluffy thickness is just what you'd expect from a UK-made garment.
The low gauge allows for easy air trapping, making it warm to wear. The delicate look and ease of high gauge knits are of course appealing, but I personally prefer low gauge as this bulkier feel allows you to enjoy the unique look of knitwear.
Fuzzing will also cause pilling, the enemy of knitwear. There's no need to ignore pilling that ruins the look, but the fluffing fills in the gaps between the yarns, making it warmer - part of the appeal of low gauge.

The back side.
Because I work in a clothing store, I see specifications and details more than most people, and it really brought home to me how amazing knitwear is.
To express a design or pattern, it requires precise calculations and excellent technique behind the scenes, which are not visible.
Brands that are committed to quality, not just Nigel Cabourn, focus not only on design but also on these invisible parts. Among them, Nigel Cabourn's attention to detail is extraordinary, in a good way. This knitwear is also produced in a traditional British factory.

The tight crew neck is very comfortable to wear. From experience, I can safely say that it's made to be very stretch-resistant. The ribbing on the sleeves and hem provides just the right amount of tightness, so it doesn't feel stressful.
Of course, roll necks and mock necks have a more mature look, but the casualness of a crew neck goes really well with this pattern.

Height: 186cm / Wearing Size: 54
The sizing is quite standard, so you should be fine if you choose your usual size.
The beanie shown is the STRIPE BOBBLE HAT, which arrived at the same time as this product.
It's a beanie with a pom-pom, and it's thicker and slightly deeper than previous models. The colour scheme is the same, and I personally recommend styling it to make an impact like this.

This is a combination I've been thinking about styling this season since before the season even started!
I tried wearing it as an inner layer under the MOLESKIN WORK SUIT JACKET, which I introduced in the blog below back in September. You could wear something like a MALLORY JACKET over it, but I think a more casual look like this suits me better.
I hope you find this useful.

The weather forecast is predicting a significant drop in temperatures starting this week.
It's time to prepare not only outerwear but also knitwear.
