Hello everyone reading this blog. This is Kiriyama from Tokyu Plaza Ginza, now known as Ginza Novo.
Today, I'd like to introduce some items made with British tweed. There are many brands out there where the material and shape are at the heart of the brand's spirit, and they produce clothes that are more compelling than any other brand could make.
This British tweed item uses tweed, which is the spirit of Nigel Cabourn, and features a crazy pattern that adds a playful touch.

Abraham Moon & Sons
Three types of tweed are used in total.
The two types of herringbone fabric used on the back and sleeves of the collarless jacket and the front and sleeves of the mac coat are from Abraham Moon & Sons.
Abraham Moon & Sons is a wool fabric manufacturer founded in 1837 by Abraham Moon in Yorkshire, Northern England. All production processes, including dyeing raw wool, spinning, and weaving, are carried out in-house.
This allows them to create unique coloured yarns that no other company can produce. Using many coloured yarns results in a fabric with depth and richness. Moon Tweed is also said to be soft and light.

Harris Tweed
The checked fabric used on the front of the collarless jacket and the back of the mac coat is Harris Tweed, also known as the King of Tweeds.
This tweed is produced in the Outer Hebrides in northern Scotland. Harris is known for its short, thick, stiff, and bulky woolen tweed. The charm of Harris tweed lies in the rustic, tasteful tweed that contains dead hairs called kempy.
Although they all share the same name, tweed, the image of the fabric varies depending on the manufacturer. To me, Harris tweed is a natural, wild tweed.

The Collarless Jacket is made with a roomy design so that it can be used as both a jacket and a coat. It's especially recommended for those who travel by car a lot.
The pockets are gusseted, inspired by Nigel Cabourn's classic "Mallory Jacket."
The boxy silhouette and slightly longer length give it a masculine feel. The gusseted pockets also add a nice touch to the look, keeping it from looking too dressy.

This mac coat is inspired by the British military officer's coat. Normally it would have belts around the waist and cuffs, but we've deliberately omitted the belts to create an A-line trench coat. The design is also inspired by the authentic Nam coat, so the way the hem flares out when you walk is very elegant.
The fact that it's fully lined and made from 100% cotton also makes it a piece that really shows off the fine tailoring of Nigel Cabourn women's clothing.

We've introduced British tweed, an essential part of Nigel Cabourn. I've always thought that Nigel Cabourn is the brand that best brings out the best in tweed.
