This product is based on the pullover shirt developed by the US military in the 1930s and 1940s. And what's even more appealing is the distinctive camo pattern. Mitchell camo has been gaining attention again in recent years in the vintage world.
The background to this pattern is that the US military's first camo (Duck Hunter) was discontinued due to frequent misidentifications and accidental firing during battle, and Mitchell camo was created as a replacement.
One of the fascinating things about military items is that each and every one has a clear reason and story behind it.
I also find it intriguing that the pattern itself is unusual, as it was only adopted for a short period of time and was mainly used as secondary materials.
