Following on from last year's release of the FIREMAN JACKET, this latest edition has been further updated and is now finally here.
When I first saw it, I was struck by the impression that, in stark contrast to the previous edition which had an aura of American machismo, this jacket exudes elegance in every detail.
Why did I think so?

This product uses sashiko fabric, made using traditional Japanese techniques that have been passed down since ancient times.
This fabric, which you probably won't see or hear about in your everyday life, has a unique atmosphere and something that naturally catches your eye.
Why have we chosen such a niche fabric, following on from our previous product? It's because there's a story deeply rooted in the background of sashiko.
Sashiko fabric was originally used to make uniforms for firefighters.
With modern technology and the development of flame-retardant clothing, such low-tech fabrics have gradually disappeared, but this fabric, which incorporates the most advanced technology of the time, evokes the passion of its craftsmen.
However, simply using the same manufacturing methods as back then would only make it a reproduction.
Our craftsmanship doesn't end with just reproductions, even when it comes to fabric. This time, we've woven hemp into the yarn mix to incorporate the essence of Nigel Cabourn.
What's more, the triple-woven fabric gives the fabric a deep expression and a quiet aura, with a weightiness that even enhances the wearer's presence.
