The "RAILMAN DENIM PANT" is a beloved classic from Nigel Cabourn.

The RAILMAN DENIM PANT features details from the work pants worn by French railway workers in the 1920s and a textured fabric that focuses on the different count denim that was actually used during the war.

The RAILMAN DENIM PANT is a masterpiece that combines these elements.

The RAILMAN DOUBLE KNEE PANT we're introducing today firmly follows in that tradition while elevating it to a more workwear-inspired style.

This is a surprise arrival with zero prior information, but as it is a direct store and online store exclusive item, don't miss out.

What's noteworthy about this product is its "double knee" design, as the name suggests.

Double knee pants were created in America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for hard-working workers.

At the time, work often required workers to kneel, making the knees the most susceptible to wear and tear. Therefore, doubling the fabric around the knees to reinforce them is said to have increased durability.

Later, this design garnered attention not only in work fashion, but also among American skaters and the street scene.
They were popular for reasons like "they're resistant to tears even if you fall" and "the wide silhouette makes it easy to move around."

DOUBLE KNEE pants typically have reinforcement fabric on the front panel. However, this product boldly has a split in the centre of the button fly.

This is a design that focuses on repair pants found in French vintage.
By adopting this design, you can sense that these pants are "fundamentally workwear" rather than skater or street wear.

As an aside, the reason the area below the reinforcement fabric is not sewn is because it was designed to prevent sand and wood chips from getting in between the fibres during work.

The fabric is made of reactively dyed "duck fabric" with a white-dyed finish.

Duck fabric is a thick, plain-weave cotton fabric woven at a high density. It is resistant to friction and tearing, and its unique texture improves with use, softening and improving with age.

The reinforcement fabric is sulphur-dyed duck fabric, allowing you to enjoy the contrast of colours. Many highly acclaimed vintage work pants are made with this duck fabric.

For the ivory colour, we chose the brand's original "heavy moleskin."
It is softer to wear than the brown and black, making the most of the ivory texture.

From a production perspective, it is more efficient to use the same fabric for all products.
However, Nigel Cabourn quality lies in not being bound by such concepts and instead thinking freely to propose what is best for each product.

Military, workwear, streetwear...
One of the appeals of this product is its versatility, which allows it to be worn in a variety of fashion scenes.

It's made from extremely tough duck fabric, so you can wear it as much as you like without worrying about anything.

Also, the styling changes completely depending on whether you show or hide the front design, so we hope you enjoy this "duality" as well.

The "RAILMAN DOUBLE KNEE PANT" will be available exclusively at our directly managed stores.

The American double knee work pant is combined with French workwear details to create a truly "coexistence of American and French workwear."
This is the true appeal of this product.
