Popularly known as "Salt & Pepper", or "Gomashio" in Japan, it established a unique reputation among the many military fabrics available.

Vintage Swiss Army fabric was originally produced by mixing cotton with the fibres of a plant called the "stinging nettle" during wartime, when large amounts of cotton were difficult to obtain.
Nigel Cabourn's SWISS ARMY FABRIC recreates the vintage texture using nettle by creating a unique blend. As you use the bag, it will take on more of a vintage look, so we hope you will enjoy the process.
