When watching the news, we often see things like "This summer will be hot, but not as hot as last year," but there's no doubt that it will still be extremely hot.

These pants are made from LINEN CANVAS, a new fabric from the SS25 High Summer collection.
"HEMP CANVAS" has become an essential part of any discussion of Nigel Cabourn's designs in recent years, but this "LINEN CANVAS" is just as outstanding.
As the name suggests, it is a canvas fabric, so it has a sturdy and strong texture while also having the soft and supple texture that is characteristic of linen.

In recent years, this model of trouser has been made with fabrics such as LINEN PIN OX.
The overall silhouette is loose, with just the right amount of room from the thigh to the hem, making it comfortable to wear in the coming seasons.
What is noteworthy is the deep rise that is unique to this particular style of pant. The workers of this era had to twist and move their waists a lot, often squatting and standing, so the idea of this trouser style came from garments that were designed to be worn without affecting the workers' movements.
It would be easy to incorporate this detail into a sturdy flat fabric, but it takes exceptional craftsmanship to incorporate it into a soft, flexible material like linen.

There are lots of detailed elements around the waist.
Unlike the "FRENCH WORK PANT - WABASH DENIM", the V-cut section at the back has a triangular shaped gusset and single piece of joining fabric.
This is intended to prevent stretching in the waist area, helping to maintain its shape and increasing durability. The design makes the silhouette around the waist look more beautiful.

Each pocket is has also been thoroughly reinforced.
Naturally, the main purpose of a pocket is to take things in and out, but when you put something in it, the weight is inevitably applied downwards. Therefore, the top and seams are easily subjected to stress and are prone to tearing.
To prevent tearing, each pocket on this product has a bartack closure.
It is such an important detail that some people think of bartacks when they think of French workmanship.
Of course, a cinch back is also featured.
By sewing both ends with triangular shaped stitches, the pants can be tightened from the waist to the hips while maintaining a wide range of motion, and they fit perfectly when worn with suspenders.
This product is unique in that it has an independent middle belt loop, which is ideal for workers who move around a lot and like to use a belt.

Since the pants are quite simple, I feel like pairing it with an impactful top like the ALOHA SHIRT - Tiger. It's sold out online, but we have a small amount available in stores.
