This crew neck sweater is a reconstruction of the traditional "Guernsey knit" fisherman's sweater, which has been passed down since the 16th century on the island of Guernsey, off the coast of England.
Guernsey knit is also known as the "fisherman's sweater" because it was worn as workwear by the island's fishermen.
The material is made from high-quality merino wool. It has volume and a three-dimensional feel, is lightweight and smooth to the touch, and doesn't feel itchy or uncomfortable like wool.
This time I paired it with the TOMBOYS DUNGAREE and GUNNER JACKET - TASLAN NYLON for a casual look!

As mentioned above, this is a fairly voluminous piece, but even when layered with dungarees or outerwear like this one, it doesn't feel restrictive at all, making it easy to coordinate with a variety of outfits. ☺

The cable knit on the left and right sides represents the ropes used by fishermen, while the "Tree of Life" pattern on the sleeve symbolises wishes for longevity, family peace, and prosperity.
A modified basket pattern is placed on the side, mixing multiple ancient patterns to create a modern reinterpretation.
