The Collections

A distinctive feature of the current collection is that Nigel himself allocates his own designs between the Authentic Line (UK-made Collection) and the Main Line (Japan-made Collection).
The former focuses on British-made items, using materials such as Harris Tweed, Ventile, and oilcloth, and is produced in factories with years of expertise and heritage — areas in which the UK excels.
The latter features items that utilise the unique fabrics, dyeing, and processing techniques that can only be achieved in Japan by the finest craftsmen.
By dividing the collection in this way, the result is a unique offering unlike anything else.

Nigel Cabourn's Authentic collection, which features his classic styles such as the Everest Parka, Mallory and Cameraman Jackets, is manufactured by the best in Great Britain using heritage fabrics such as Harris Tweed and Ventile.
Following the same ethos as Authentic, Mainline is made in Japan and is driven by an appreciation of innovative Japanese fabrics and production techniques.

Established in 1927, Lybro became one of the most important heritage workwear brands in the UK, making garments for everyday workers throughout the decades. Now part of Nigel Cabourn, this label offers a hardwearing work wear range, which is manufactured using the best fabrics and trims.
