「The World of the Nigel Cabourn WOMAN Collection」(Background)

Serving as the creative heart of the brand — Nigel's Newcastle studio is both a design studio, and an archive housing his vast vintage collection.
Each season’s collection is carefully crafted from a mix of specially sourced vintage garments from around the world and treasured pieces already in his possession. These are combined with inspiration drawn from an extensive library of reference books to inform every design.

「Birth of the Modern Woman」

At Nigel Cabourn WOMAN, our goal is to reinterpret the dignity and spirit of women who lived through turbulent times — in a way that speaks to the strength and style of women today.
She is inherently feminine, yet active, cool, strong, and independent. She knows exactly what she wants in the present moment.
The collection combines the masculine structure of a military jacket with the delicate elegance of a Victorian blouse — durable, practical, and timeless. Once worn, each piece reveals a beauty that balances masculinity and femininity in perfect harmony.
Our mission is to empower modern women with garments they can truly rely on.
Nigel Cabourn never compromises on quality.
Tough, but never harsh.
Feminine, but never fragile.

「Nigel Cabourn & Nigel Cabourn WOMAN」

Nigel Cabourn WOMAN stands out from other women's brands, through its commitment to timeless design, the highest quality fabrics and trims, and thoughtful, purposeful detailing. A unique collection unlike any other.
The collection draws inspiration from two sources: garments based on enduring menswear styles, reinterpreted with adjusted fits and details for women, and entirely new designs inspired by the women who lived through wartime with strength and femininity — such as Gerda Taro, a photojournalist and the professional and personal partner of Robert Capa, who co-founded Magnum Photos in 1947 alongside Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Seymour, and George Rodger.
In addition to British materials such as Harris Tweed and Ventile, which is commonly used on the mens collections, we also use specially developed materials for the women's line.
Our customers are as individuals, women with niche tastes who naturally seek out a different kind of style. They lead active, open-minded lives, often with a love for travel and discovery. This is a collection not defined by age, but by lifestyle, offering timeless style to women across generations.
