Completely hand-woven textiles produced in our own workshop in Madras, South India.
ORIGINAL MADRAS TRADING COMPANY is committed to the "single weaver" method, in which one craftsman weaves the entire fabric on a hand loom from start to finish, and continues to maintain this now rare process, which takes several hours to weave one meter of fabric.
We complete all processes in-house, from receiving the yarn to finishing, and our sincere attitude towards both the skills of our artisans and the environment gives each product an honesty and warmth.
Not only do they carry on traditions, but they also continue to innovate with designs such as "Winter Madras" and naturally dyed organic cotton, bringing both old and new possibilities of hand weaving to the world.
