This is a masterpiece by designer Zuki, combining stories from three countries: Japan, the US, and France, as well as vintage items from that time.
As for the indigo colour, we only have one of each size 52 and 54 available, and they are otherwise sold out nationwide.

The greatest appeal of this product is undoubtedly the sashiko-woven fabric.
Sashiko was originally used to make the clothing of firefighters from the late Edo period through the early Showa period.
The triple weave, woven from a hemp and cotton blend, has a thick, sturdy feel and a rugged presence that enhances the tough look of the garment.

The tailored jacket he was wearing has been reconstructed and incorporated into this product.

The gold-painted buttons are based on the original jacket designed by a now-defunct French department store for the country's fire brigade.
The button design features a fire hose and flame-like patterns.
Rather than featuring the brand logo, the design is evocative of the job or purpose, giving it a French workmanship feel.

I paired it with chinos for a relaxed, urban, city-like look.
I bought it last year and have worn it quite often, so it's gradually showing signs of aging, and every time I put it on, I feel like it's "growing into itself."
There's something nice about that.
I tried hand-washing it once at the end of the season, and although it didn't shrink, a lot of the dye came off, making cleaning the bathtub afterwards quite a chore.
