Thank you for always reading our blog. This is Kon from FLAGSHIP STORE.
Last weekend, we released the "TOKYO FLAGSHIP STORE EXCLUSIVE" HOSPITAL JACKET LINEN NIDOM - BROWN.
As it was a product I designed myself, I was curious about everyone's reaction, but thankfully, it was very well received and sold out in just two days after its release.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude once again. This time, I would like to introduce an item that has "common ground" with the HOSPITAL JACKET. I hope you will also take a look at this.
This product is based on the "chore jacket" worn by labourers as work clothes at the time. As some of you may already know, this is the same style as the recently released FRENCH CHORE JACKET - HEMP CHECK, but in a different fabric.
Like the HOSPITAL JACKET, it uses "Linen Nidom," which boasts top-class quality among Nigel Cabourn's linen fabrics.
This is the common point mentioned at the beginning. In this blog, I will deliberately not go into detail about the fabric or model. This time, I will introduce it from the perspective of "colour."
When focusing on colour, the presence of matching trousers is essential. The "unconventionality" of using the same material for both the jacket and trousers, yet offering different colour variations, is a major appeal of this collection.
The navy version is intended to be worn as a set, and is available as a top and bottom. On the other hand, the jacket is white and the trousers are ivory, deliberately using different colours.
This is because the jacket looks better with white than ivory, and the trousers blend better into the styling with ivory than white. With this in mind, the colour design considers not only the individual perfection of each item, but also the overall balance when incorporated into a styling. This can be said to be the result of pursuing the colour that makes each item look its most beautiful.
The "White" used for this jacket is different from the typical white of a shirt. The crispness and weight unique to linen fabric give it a "presence" rather than a "lightness." It also pairs perfectly with the open collar design, creating a relaxed yet refined look.
It's a versatile white that suits any style.
In contrast, the ivory colour used for the pants is sure to appeal to everyone, thanks to its soft hue that brings out the natural texture of linen. It also harmonises well with French workwear designs and will undoubtedly "fit" perfectly with summer military and workwear styles. Above all, they are incredibly comfortable to wear, so I highly recommend you try them at least once.

And then there's Navy. Personally, I would highly recommend this one.
The elegance and calm atmosphere of Navy goes very well with linen material.
Navy has a persuasive power that other colours cannot match. Its appeal is further enhanced when worn as a set, so it's easy to see why only Navy is available as a top and bottom set.
Recently, Nigel Cabourn has been releasing a lot of Charcoal Grey items, so I think many people have actually been waiting for this kind of "Navy." It's also used in the brand's iconic MALLORY JACKET, but "Nigel Cabourn's Navy" is something special.
White, Ivory, Navy.
Each colour has a distinct role and appeal.
Please take a look at this series, which combines the finest Linen Nidom material with the perfect colours.
We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
