Hello everyone. This is Nishizawa from the Lucua Osaka store.
It's already mid-March, but we're still not getting that spring-like warmth, and the temperature fluctuations are quite unpredictable...
I'm looking forward to enjoying a day off where I can bask in the sunshine on a spring day, enjoy a drink in the afternoon while smelling the cherry blossoms and plants, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of spring weather that will warm me to the core... Come on, spring!
With that in mind, I'd like to propose a primitive colour scheme based on a combination of vivid primary-coloured tops that evoke a sense of exhilaration with their bright, spring-like hues, paired with earth-toned pants!
This season's LYBRO collection theme is "Post War Workwear." Immediately after the war, the damage from the conflict affected many sectors, including agriculture and manufacturing. From there, through the 1960s, people rose up again with renewed strength.
This collection draws inspiration from valuable vintage clothing of that era and reflects it in its products.
This lightweight, smooth-feeling blouson is incredibly versatile and easy to wear.
Made from 100% cotton, it utilises water-resistant tech cotton, making it lighter than typical canvas or twill fabrics. Designed to repel light rain, it's highly versatile and easy to wear daily.
With a boxy silhouette and a slightly shorter length, it's a great shape for layering and can be paired with any type of pants, making it perfect for urban use.
This fishing jacket is based on an iconic cotton jacket from Nigel Cabourn's archives, and while it retains the original details, it has been transformed into a design with a modern, refined aesthetic.
Reflecting elements of fishing wear, it features a pocket pattern with excellent storage capacity typical of fishing jackets, such as snap-closure pockets and large utility pockets on the front, as well as a mix of snap buttons and regular buttons on the placket, achieving both ease of opening and closing and a rugged look.
The orange colour I'm wearing this time is a high-visibility colour derived from fishing, designed for enhanced visibility. It's a colour that best evokes the world of outdoor and retro sports, yet it also has a matte finish that gives it an elegant feel. I'm sure it will look even cooler as this colour fades over time!
This blouson is perfect not only for everyday wear in town, but also for outdoor and sports scenes. For this styling, I've paired it with the GRANDPA SHIRT - CRAZY PATTERN, which features a crazy pattern with a playful design that combines various colour combinations of checks and a great balance of colours.
I really like the balance between the long shirt and the soft, relaxed colour scheme of the short-length blouson.
The pants, which I paired with the shirt in a primitive colour scheme of orange and earthy khaki, are from the MECHANIC PANT-MIX line. Based on vintage mechanic pants worn by US Air Force mechanics in the 1950s, they feature clever design details in key areas, and the back satin fabric makes them incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. I really love them.
I hope you'll come and see the shirt and pants together in store!
This season we also have some recommended hoodies and sweatshirts, but pairing them with a parka underneath would also be great!
This time, we've introduced styling that evokes a spring feel, but every item is easy to use, features Nigel Cabourn's signature craftsmanship, is durable, easy to wear, and will age beautifully over time.
Please come visit us and try them on!
