Thank you for reading our blog. This is Uenishi from the Okayama store.
Lately, Okayama City has been experiencing large temperature fluctuations!
I often arrive in the morning feeling the warm sunshine and commute to work in light clothing and by bicycle, only to return home biting my lower lip... I 'm constantly being defeated by the temperature, which is like a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Even with such experiences, I'm not really inclined to buy heavy winter outerwear. I'm already thinking about spring, to the point where I see plum blossoms blooming along my commute and think, "They look like cherry blossoms..."
So, this time, I'd like to introduce a light blouson that's perfect for the temperatures of early spring! A must-see for anyone looking forward to spring!
We recently received a shipment of LYBRO fishing jackets! Based on American-made fishing jackets from the 1940s and 50s, Nigel Cabourn has added his own unique interpretation, resulting in an item that retains the details of a fishing jacket while incorporating modern functionality!
Even if you're not a fishing enthusiast, we encourage you to try it out!
I love the silhouette that widens towards the hem and the shorter length!
The original fishing jacket, which is based on this design, is designed for fishing while wading up to your waist, so it's even shorter than this product.
I can feel Nigel Cabourn's attention to detail in how he lengthened the jacket and adjusted the size balance, making it more suitable for city wear than fishing spots!
The pizza-shaped patch and pocket on the left chest are a nice accent!
In the design, the pizza part is made of water-resistant rubber material. While rubber material can sometimes give it too much of an outdoor wear feel, the pizza part is made of the same "tech cotton" material as the body, so it has a look that blends in well with the city. The unique sheen is really nice!
As mentioned earlier, the fabric used is Tech Cotton! It's 100% cotton, yet it has the sheen, water resistance, and lightweight properties of nylon! The texture is just right for early spring!
The pockets on the left and right sides have a raised bottom! This is an interesting detail that's different from gusseted pockets. Because they're flatter than typical gusseted pockets, they have a clean, streamlined look!
Height: 180cm / Wearing Size: 48
I styled it with a shirt for a spring look! I usually choose size 50, but this one has a wider fit, so size 48 was a perfect fit when worn over a shirt.
Of the three available colours, I personally recommend navy! The snap buttons stand out, and it goes perfectly with Nigel Cabourn's classic basic chinos in both colour and silhouette!
This was an introduction to a fishing jacket that you'll want to wear in early spring!
Please try it on at the store!
