The British Army Blazer in US Green is a bit of a modern classic from Nigel Cabourn’s Lybro range of work-wear. Maybe best described as the slightly smarter brother of the British Army Jacket, it’s a hard-wearing blazer, which merges WW2 military design details with a tried-and-tested work-wear shape.
The silhouette is based around a traditional notch-lapel blazer, but in the place of a patch-pocket on the chest there’s a pleated pocket taken from the classic British Army trousers worn in the 1940s.
This season, it’s made from a blend of cotton and linen with a contrast of natural and dyed yarn, that gives it a slightly textured look not dissimilar to chambray cotton. Not only is this fabric tough, but as it’s 40% linen, it’s cool too—making it perfect for the summer months.
Released as part of the Lybro range of work-wear, it works perfectly with the British Army Pants as an informal suit.
