Sunspel, renowned for its luxurious essentials crafted from the finest materials, and Nigel Cabourn, celebrated for its vintage-inspired designs rooted in military heritage, may seem like unlikely collaborators at first glance. However, it is precisely this contrast that forms the foundation of their partnership. By combining Sunspel's expertise in fabric innovation with Nigel Cabourn's passion for historical authenticity, the collaboration breathes new life into classic wardrobe staples while honoring tradition. Since 1860 Sunspel have been crafting wardrobe basics from the world's finest materials, and have built a lasting reputation for quality, timeless designs and comfortable essentials. Based at their Long Eaton factory for over 80 years, Sunspel are committed to craft and their classic t-shirts are still handmade in that same factory. The business was founded by textile innovator Thomas Hill in 1860 to craft luxurious garments from cashmere, silk, merino wool and Sea Island cotton. It was passed down through the Hill family, surviving two world wars and the Great Depression, and despite these challenges, the values of quality, innovation and craftsmanship have remained at the heart of their business ever since. Sunspel have invented groundbreaking fabrics, sold their products around the globe and have developed some of the most iconic menswear styles.
