This piece draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese *kappogi* (kitchen smock). By layering it with the included petticoat, you can also wear it as a standalone dress.
I actually tried on both sizes 8 and 10; I felt that the larger size emphasized the *kappogi* aesthetic a bit too strongly, so I would recommend choosing your true size for the best fit (haha).
It is very comfortable to wear, and the petticoat feels smooth against the skin. While the fabric isn't sheer, I’d suggest pairing it with innerwear like pettipants to avoid showing the outline of your undergarments, giving you greater peace of mind.
For accessories, I added the new Antique Lace Short Necklace. I chose a crisp white to give the entire outfit a cool, refreshing look.
