Born out of Japan in 2002, Anonymous Ism have become renowned for their iconic, elevated approach to the humble sock. After a few seasons making socks for other brands, Anonymous Ism soon decided to create their own designs, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources - military, workwear, and even historical Japanese art and clothing.
Produced on modern knitting machines that replicate the 1970's machines used for the brand's first collections, they are able to create the intricate designs and textures Anonymous Ism is best known for. Though the production techniques may conjure up the past, the brand is continually looking towards the future - each collection uses more organic yarns than before, and there is an increasing use of recycled cotton and paper yarns across the product range.
