The "DUCK HUNTER CAMO" series. I'd like to introduce a vest that incorporates elements of fishing.
This product is the only one in the DUCK HUNTER CAMO series that was created with a different approach. As the product name suggests, this vest is based on a vintage fishing vest design. Nigel Cabourn has always incorporated military and workwear influences into his designs, so this is a rare and valuable change.
◆ Duck Hunter Camo
This pattern has its origins in the military, dating back to World War II.
This camouflage pattern, adopted by the USMC (United States Marine Corps), is highly regarded in the vintage clothing world. That's called "frogskin camo."
It features a distinctive spotted pattern with different designs on the front and back. It was later adopted as a pattern for hunting (duck hunting), which is how it came to be called Duck Hunter Camo.
This product features distinctive pockets on both the front and back. With its design that ensures ample storage and convenience, it follows the style of vintage fishing vests. In particular, the back pockets feature a monkey pocket, a must-see for military enthusiasts.
Apparently, these pockets on the back are actually also found on conventional fishing vests. Its intended use is as a poncho to protect from the rain, or as a pocket to store rain gear. You don't often see a vest with such a sharp edge.
Summer tends to be a time for simple styling, doesn't it? Having one of these as a change of pace in your wardrobe is a great idea, as it adds just the right amount of accent to your overall outfit! No matter how stylish a T-shirt is, you'll get tired of it eventually, and it becomes bland.

Personally, when I incorporate impactful items like this product into my styling, I try to keep the other colours subdued. That way, they can bring out the best in each other. Sometimes I'll try some crazy pairings on a whim...

In early April, I went on my second trip to Hokkaido this year!! That's going too far, lol. However, there's a bit of a story behind this; I was actually in Hokkaido to buy a car. This second time around, the car was finally delivered. I'll write about what I bought in my next blog post. Let me keep you in suspense a little longer, lol. Here are some photos to remember the trip.
Lake Shikotsu in Chitose City, which I visited on a drive, and the sunrise from the deck of a ship I was on for 18 hours! I made sure to imprint it firmly in my memory. A boat trip is also wonderful.
