While the main focus here will be on short sleeves, we would like to introduce another extremely versatile item from the popular HIGH SUMMER COLLECTION.

The t-shirt is made of the our popular classic 7.8oz fabric.
The 5.6oz was a little too see-through, and the 9.5oz was a little too thick for midsummer due to its durability, so the 7.8oz fulfilled our wish for something we didn't have.
Many people are fascinated by this fabric, which is neither too thin nor too thick and combines flexibility with durability.
I'm ashamed to say that this was my first purchase of the season, but I was immediately hooked and before I knew it, I had bought five pieces.

There are two main points that I need to explain.
First, there is a small tag attached to the bottom of the neck placket with "MADE IN JAPAN" written in the centre.
At first glance it may seem like it's just for design, but it actually has a specific purpose. It's a detail seen in American vintage clothing from the 1930s and 1940s, and was originally used to sew brand tags or union tickets.
The reason why it is sewn at the bottom is that the Henley necks of the time were often made of a cotton-wool blend, and due to the texture of the fabric, the placket would gradually open up, compromising durability, so the placket was sewn at the bottom to reduce the opening and increase durability.

The other is a crescent-shaped patch on the back of the neck. According to Nigel, this detail is called "baggy lining."
Simply put, it is the same as the "double door" style of tailoring for suits and jackets. It is known as a high-end tailoring method for suits and is a time-consuming method.
This product is used to reinforce the back of the collar and is sewn with the triple stitching that can also be seen on the NEW MEDICAL SHIRT, so it is sure to be extremely durable.
The patch is made from leftover fabric from cutting out the neck area, making it sustainable and eco-friendly as it does not waste fabric.

The buttons are made of urea cat's eye, just like the 9.5oz BASIC T-SHIRT.
This season, most people will probably wear it on its own, but when worn as an inner layer, the protruding button part will cause friction with the outer layer.
The use of cat's eye buttons helps reduce the causes of wear and tear by preventing the stitching from protruding.

Personally, I've been feeling like styling paler colours with similar tone colours lately.
I wore size 52 this time, but considering that I would be wearing it as an inner layer, I think size 50 would be better.
In addition to the details, the fabric and silhouette are outstanding, so be sure to try it out.
