This season's collection is characterised by a strong design due to its sports theme.
However, what is appealing about this "FRENCH WORK" series is its independent design that does not belong to any particular theme.
Pinpoint Oxford
I've mentioned this fabric a few times on my blog before, but I'll explain it briefly again.
Linen pin oxford is a fabric made from linen, a material made from extremely tightly woven, fine yarn. In recent years, there have been many items made with hemp, a linen material, but the smooth texture is unique to this series.
Oxford is a plain weave fabric made plying two or three warp yarn and weft yarn. The name pinpoint is a general term for Oxford fabric with a finer thread yarn count.
By making it soft, the fabric gains more lustre and elegance.
Although this was released in late March, I think now is the perfect time to wear this supple, cool fabric.
What I want you to pay attention to this time is the vest.
The FRENCH WORK VEST has been around for three years since its launch in Spring & Summer 2022. This is the fifth time this model has been released. And I personally feel that this latest product has the most sophisticated design.
Previous models were advertised as reversible, but this time we decided not to do that. The reason for this is the pockets.
One of the features is this drawstring pocket.
First of all, this inclusion has increased the capacity for storing contents. Since the lining is made of sleek material, it obviously cannot be reversible.
The previous design had patch pockets, but these made the silhouette a bit awkward when using the pockets. However, with this new version, a beautiful silhouette can be achieved without compromising the shape.
The original vintage French military garment that inspired the design has no pockets as it was made as cold weather clothing for desert field use.
Therefore, the pocket is an interesting design that is full of Nigel Cabourn's originality.
The edges of the collar, pockets, arms, and other parts are sewn with piping wrapped around them, giving it a stylish look.
As this is the fifth release of this vest, it has been updated in many ways. I feel like it can now be said to be in its final form.

Just a t-shirt alone is a little boring, but this vest adds a little spice to the outfit and is very useful. You can also wear it over a shirt.
I tried changing the size depending on how I wanted it to look. If you are going to wear it with a T-shirt, we recommend choosing a larger size for a casual look. Also, instead of a tight-fitting T-shirt, choose something loose like a 7.8oz T-SHIRT for a more tidy look.
