This new T-shirt features a strong double-layered neckline. This is an extremely rare feature called a double binder neck.
The Green and Blue pigment colours have an amazing faded look.
First, let's explain what a binder neck is.

This is the neckline of the classic BASIC T-SHIRT, and this specification is called a "binder neck." The binder neck is sewn by sandwiching the fabric of the body within the rib of the neck.
The sewing is done with a twin needle, so the material is less likely to stretch and is highly durable.

This is the neckline of the new DOUBLE BINDER T-SHIRT.
You can see that the fabric for the bodice is double layered. Naturally, this is a lot of work, so there are very few t-shirts that use this method.
The double-layered construction ensures high durability.
Not only is it durable, but it also has the effect of stopping sweat around the neck. Vintage sportswear necklines have a different shape, but they have similar details.

Nigel Cabourn's standard cut and sew jersey products come in three thicknesses: 5.6oz, 7.8oz, and 9.5oz. This product uses the middle thickness of 7.8oz.
This thickness was chosen because 5.6oz would not look good around the neckline due to being too lightweight, and 9.5oz would be too heavy. The slightly thicker 7.8oz is a perfect match for the neckline of the double binder.

It has a loose fit that can be worn comfortably. The fit is similar to the 7.8oz BASIC T-SHIRT that is currently on sale.
The generous width allows for good ventilation, and the lightweight feeling will help you get through this year's scorching heat.
Another key detail is the seamless round body. Although its a subtle detail, it reduced any slight discomfort when wearing the garment. The new tag design is also a highlight.

Although pigment dyeing is time-consuming and they tend to fade and bleed, they also allow for a change over time that you can't get from regular dyeing. I expect that once the colours of the overlapping parts of the double-binder fabric start to fade, it will have a pretty nice look.

No matter how much I enjoy fashion, I can't beat the heat, so I end up settling on a t-shirt. I think this is a rare t-shirt that looks good with details designed for durability and comfort.
