The "GUNNER JACKET," which was well-received by many in the Spring/Summer collection, is back in the Autumn/Winter collection.
Please take note not only of the new fabric, but also of the updated details.
This product is based on the "salvage parka" used by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s.
While the vintage version was designed as a smock parka, this version has been modified to feature a more versatile open-front design.
The appeal of this product is that you can enjoy the spacious silhouette characteristic of a smock without any stress by opening it at the front.
The Spring/Summer version featured a wooden toggle part on the top, but this product uses a metal "clip part."
This is likely because the salvage parka that was used as a reference was inspired by the U.S. Navy, so the clip part comes from the Navy.
The front features snap buttons like those found on coach jackets, allowing for smooth opening and closing.
Snap buttons are also used on the US military's MA-1 and M-51 field jackets, so they are actually closely related to military jackets.
In order to make the most of the texture of the taslan nylon, the designer has chosen not to use the brand's signature horn buttons or corozo buttons, but rather clip parts and branded snap buttons, which is a great idea.
The stitching on this pocket indicates the size. (46: 2 stitches, 48: 2.5 stitches, 50: 3 stitches, 52: 3.5 stitches)
While vintage items don't feature 0.5 stitches, we chose this design for this product. We believe it creates a more interesting and intriguing "What is this?"
The fabric is made of "Taslan Nylon," which has an appealing cotton-like appearance with the subdued sheen typical of nylon.
While cotton is formed into yarn by twisting short fibres, Taslan Nylon is made by blowing compressed air at a single long fibre to create an "air-processed yarn," which is then unevenly bound together to form the yarn.
This "unevenness" reduces the sheen and gives the fabric a cotton-like appearance.
The lining is made of custom-made cotton check fabric.
The classic check pattern peeking through from the inside, against the taslan nylon outer fabric, adds a refined accent reminiscent of British country style.
Without this lining, the feeling would have been much more tech-oriented.
However, the addition of this lining gives the garment a dignified appearance suitable for mature wear.
The impact of this lining is even greater than it appears.

You can style it casually like this, or take advantage of the wide body and wear it over a jacket or coveralls.
This Charcoal colour is highly versatile and goes particularly well with sweatshirts, so I would recommend it to anyone who wears a lot of sweatshirts in autumn and winter.

The combination of nylon and knit may seem unusual, but with the look of Taslan nylon it works perfectly.
This Dark Brown is reminiscent of oiled cotton, so we recommend it to those who like classic styling.
