This Nigel Cabourn original sweatshirt is based on training wear used by the British Army, but incorporates details from different eras.  Last year, a new BLACK colour was released, but this time it comes in a CRAZY pattern!

The right side of the garment is a reproduction of training wear used in the 1930s, while the left side is a trace of training wear from the 1940s. The design incorporates elements from different eras, with the lines switching in the middle to create an asymmetrical look.

This unique and distinctive design makes it an irresistible item.

The eclectic approach in this product isn't limited to the body of the garment. The sleeve construction, including the ribbing and stitching, is different on the left and right sides.

[Right sleeve]
The freedom sleeve design is frequently used in Nigel Cabourn's cut-and-sew garments. The fabric used is a waffle weave, which is highly breathable, absorbent, and provides excellent heat retention.

[Left sleeve]
This one features a set-in sleeve design. Furthermore, it uses thermal fabric, which has military origins.

The fabric used for the ribbing is different on the left and right sides, and to top it all off, even the stitching used to join the different fabrics has been changed. From a productivity standpoint, it's most efficient to be able to sew everything from start to finish with a single sewing machine.

However, in the case of this product, we even changed sewing factories because we wanted to use different sewing machines for the left and right sides. I don't think there are many brands that put that much effort into their production. This is just incredible... I was quite surprised when I first learned this fact.

This crazy design isn't just a simple colour variation of the traditional army crew jersey.

While conventional products achieve colour contrast by reversing the fabric on the left and right sides, this product expresses that contrast through differences in the shades of indigo dye. Furthermore, the elbow patches on the cuffs are reminiscent of the commando sweaters used by the British military.

This accent is not merely decorative; it functions as an important detail that evokes the military wear background.

For the styling, I went with a simple pairing: ARMY CARGO PANT.

The previous versions used different fabrics, which gave them a somewhat dated look. However, this latest model has been redesigned to have a more refined look, and the elbow patches, which are characteristic of military sweatshirts, have a strong presence as details while providing a subtle accent that doesn't disrupt the overall balance.

It may not have a flashy impact, but it's an item that will slowly grow on you. Please take a look.

We look forward to your visit and inquiries.
