The Camo Trialmaster Tribute

Belstaff's most iconic jacket: the Trialmaster. First introduced in 1948 and originally created to tackle the harsh conditions of the Scottish Six Days Trials motorcycle race, this jacket epitomises functional, durable beauty. Featuring four front pockets, three-dimensional cuts such as pivot sleeves, and highly waterproof fabric, its classic design has earned it a legendary reputation not only among motorcyclists but also among heroes of the era, including Steve McQueen.

Nigel Cabourn has paid utmost respect to this legendary jacket by utilising dry wax cotton cloth, developed in collaboration with Halley Stevensons, a long-established Scottish fabric manufacturer. The camouflage pattern is an original print, hand-painted to evoke the environment in which the Trialmaster was originally worn. Combining the texture and soft feel of traditional oilcloth, this fabric will develop a vintage-like patina with wear.

The Derwent Trialmaster

A reimagining of two of Nigel's beloved Belstaff classics; the Trialmaster and the Derwent.

Produced in the 1970's, the Derwent was an outdoor sports coat featuring water-repellent fabric, a removable liner, a hood, and drawcords. Beloved for its versatility, Nigel combined it's best features with the Trialmaster's four front pockets and large, vintage-inspired collar to create a completely new jacket. The fabric is 6oz dry wax cloth from Halley Stevensons, a venerable Scottish company, carefully selected for its optimal weight for wear. Born from a deep respect and knowledge of vintage clothing, this jacket epitomises the deep rooted connection shared between both brands.

The Coastal Commander

Belstaff has a long history of involvement with the British military, manufacturing supplies and garments since the company was founded in 1924. The highly insulated military wear it supplied to the RAF during World War II remains a masterpeice to this day. Nigel Cabourn chose the renowned Irving Jacket, one of the company's most iconic historical styles, as the base for this collaboration piece. Known for its ultra-thick shearling lining and exceptional fit, this jacket protected pilots' lives.

Nigel has given it an update for the modern day, adding large patch pockets and leather seam tape, while hand-painted orange accents on the underside of the collar and zipper pulls add subtle yet effective accents. This rendition pays homage to the Coast Command Jacket, formerly used by the Coast Guard and featuring a painted hood in Nigel Cabourn's signature orange. Crafted in an Italian factory using select sheepskin and exceptional craftsmanship, this jacket is poised to become a vintage piece of the future.
